Sure, okay – it’s 11pm, I’m attempting to get some work done with a little help from J&C (Jack and Coke for those of you hiding under rocks), and I’m rolling on the floor laughing (ROTFL for those of you hiding under rocks) while listening to the grand master lounge act Richard Cheese belting out “Baby Got Back”… Do yourself a favor – pick up “Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine – Tuxicity”.
If you’re not leg bouncing and laughing your ass off after the first few songs, you’re truly mental.

Undoubtedly the first in a 300 part series – unfinished projects. I have so many personal projects in the can that haven’t seen their final expression that it can be a little overwhelming. Alright, a LOT! Client projects take precedence over creative works, no issue there. But I feel it’s high time to treat myself as a client; indulge in a spot of perfectly deserved selfishness. For the same reason I kick myself in the shins to pick my guitars up again, denying my creative side is a sure ticket to a stale life and there’s nothing like engaging in artistic endeavors to blow the cobwebs off the ol’ right brain.
Digging through the pile… this was interesting. Prep for a thematic post production piece left quite a few images I enjoyed playing with for contrast and light studies. Always helps to have gung-ho models willing to ignore cold concrete floors…

It can’t be done.
When asked by friends, acquaintances and complete strangers, I try and describe what I do all the time. I get a lot of blank stares and “yeah, right…” Then once and awhile I throw a pic out there just to satisfy the disbelieving inquirer. Yeah buddy, I was trying to tell ya.
Being the League Photographer for the Renegade Rollergirls is all kinds of wonderful, weird and fun. In my creative and professional life I seek out those that inspire or are inspired by the creative process; I love to meet and entreat the incredible free spirits that cross in front of my lens. With the Rollergirls, I am presented the whole mountain when I had my sights set on a pebble.
I’ll take it! They challenge me constantly. If only an endless production budget was available – these ladies deserve big budget treatment. And the stories… my lord, the stories. I’m going to have to start telling them someday. But I don’t have time for stories where there are mountains of photos to process.
Wicked Pussycats Pajama Party
For our WP calendar in the works, Saturday night was an experience. I tip my hat to you ladies and I can guarantee I haven’t stopped blushing yet.
